From June 20th through the 24th the Volunteer Center of the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford is encouraging local companies and groups to serve the community during our “Week of Action.” Our focus for this year is once again for local companies to respond to this “call to action” by collecting various toiletries, paper goods and household items to help the families our agencies serve. If you are interested in getting your coworkers involved, please contact The Volunteer Center (thevolunteercenter @unitedwaymw.org or 203-235-4403, ext. 12) as soon as possible!

WEEK OF ACTION Details:

Monday June 17th – Friday June 21th

Companies should individually decide what creative means they want to use to encourage employees to contribute items that will go to local families in need in our community.

As a part of this “call to action,” we are asking that a volunteer from each company deliver the collected items to a local agency.  We will help direct you to the closest agency with the most need when it comes time to deliver. (Drop-offs to agencies should be scheduled for Thursday or Friday of that week)

There are 4 companies that have signed on to participate:

3M Purification Inc

The Marlin Company

Mirion Technologies

Pyramid Time Systems
